Born in 1975 in Paris, Michèle Atchadé is a visual artist. She lives and works in Paris.
She realizes mainly installations: sculptural, video and/or sound where the body plays a central role. She conceives at the same time objects, drawings, photos, unique or multiple books throw in the status of icon of the images and the contemporary forms for the benefit of a sensory art where the material, sometimes minimal and tenuous, sometimes very material and present, is next to the immaterial.
She works at present on sometimes short but always singular plastic forms of narratives of life: installations, documentaries, fiction, between visual arts and cinema-broadcasting.
She also realizes movies about contemporary art.
Her interest for the collective processes of creation led her among others to form Encrages, cahiers d'art et d'esthétique ( Inkings, exercise books of art and esthetics (publications paper), YOTA (multimedia support), an association of distribution of the contemporary art: êtrecontemporain? and collective exhibitions as curator of exhibition (the art in the domestic space, visual artist's photos, the deconstruction of the media practices...) Encrages, cahiers d’art et d’esthétique (publications format papier), YOTA (support multimédia), une association de diffusion de l’art contemporain : êtrecontemporain? et des expositions collectives en tant que commissaire d’exposition (l’art dans l’espace domestique, photographies de plasticiens, déconstruction des pratiques audiovisuelles…).
Ses projets, expositions, résidences et recherches articulant théorie et pratique l’ont amenée dans divers pays et villes : à Paris, en Bretagne (Guingamp, Pont Scorff, Morlaix), à Cuges-les-pins, à Lille Métropole (Lille, Roubaix, Tourcoing), à Londres, Berlin, Valencia, Lisboa, en Thaïlande (Bangkok, Chiang Mai), en Inde du Sud et récemment en Chine (Shanghai et Pékin) et à Athènes (en Grèce).
Professeure agrégée d’arts plastiques, elle est enseignante auprès d’étudiants de STS audiovisuel (SUGER, Saint-Denis). Après des recherches sur la sculpture installative, l’immatériel dans le cadre de pratiques artistiques d’installation, ses recherches en art contemporain portent sur les pratiques audiovisuelles de mise en forme et en récit de La vie des autres.
